Unfortunately, Sunday's racing was cancelled due to the adverse conditions. Nil desperandum, sailing will take place as normal this Sunday.

Junior Sailing

Last Wednesday's session was cancelled due to inclement conditions. However, principal instructor, Blake Shaw, will run junior racing for the next four Sundays, commencing this Sunday at 10.30 am. Interested juniors should turn up at 9.30 am. I'm delighted to report that one of our juniors, Jonathan Morris, came seventh overall in the Topper traveller at Neyland last weekend. Jonathan is one of our up-and-coming juniors, whose enthusiasm for sailing is often infectious.

Would members please note the following amendment to the opening times. The club will open on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, as well as Sunday lunchtime. This arrangement will continue to the end of September when there will be a further review.

End of Season Party

Would members and friends please note that the annual 'end of season' party will take place next Saturday, October 6. The fancy dress theme is Cowboys and Indians. The food will be the legendary Terry Evans bangers and mash, accompanied by the infamous onion gravy. To finish the evening off, there will be music by the popular Gina. It promises to be a great evening. Don't miss it!

Darts

The unthinkable happened. We won! I'll repeat that. We won! Captain, Terry Evans's tactics and team selection proved very effective in defeating a very spirited Parsonage team. The celebrations are still going on. This (Friday) evening we are at home to the Captain's Table, a formidable darting outfit, I'm led to believe. Terry expects a repeat performance - team please note!
