Last Wednesday, the now usual plethora of trainees turned up. Principal trainer, Blake Shaw, was again impressed by the progress made by these enthusiastic youngsters. Many thanks to all the extra helpers whose assistance is invaluable. The Wednesday race was also well supported, with the racing very tight. The eventual 1-2-3 was: 1. Mike Stace and Deanna Morton in a Redwing; 2. Ted Lewis in a Phantom; 3. Steve Stubbs in a Laser. The evening was rounded off with the legendary barbecue, superbly cooked by Karin Morris, who stood in for Terry Evans, who was tied up with work commitments. Sunday's racing attracted the usual large fleet. As Wednesday, the racing was very close indeed, with the eventual 1-2-3 being: 1. Ted Lewis in a Phantom; 2. Mike Stace and Deanna Morton in a Redwing; 3. Nathan Spiller in a Laser Vortex. This Sunday, weather permitting, sees the annual Cruise in Company when a flotilla of various dinghies, cruisers and other craft make off to a secluded beach for a social gathering which includes a Terry Evans barbecue. BLUES EVENING
Next Wednesday, July 13, the now monthly blues evening takes place when local musicians get together and jam. It's superb entertainment, so why not come on down and feast on Terry Evans's superlative barbecue and listen to great music. An opportunity not to be missed!
