The final race of the season scheduled for Boxing Day, alas, did not take place due to conditions not conducive to pleasurable sailing. So the first eight places, for the Frostbite Series, is as follows. 1. Rolly Squibbs and Helen Williams in a Redwing; 2. Paul Evenden and Anthea Paterson in a Wayfarer; 3. Ted Lewis in a Phantom; 4. Mike Stace and Deanna Morton in a Redwing; 5. Paul Johnson in a Solo; 6. Dan Lewis in a Laser; 7. Alan Lambert in a Solo; 8. Steve and Matt Davie in a Laser 2000; 9. Andrew and Graham Williams in a RS400; 10. Angelo Fecci in a Topper. Over the series 19 boats took part - on several occasions conditions and circumstances were such that almost the entire fleet took part which is most encouraging for the future. Sailing will resume in three months time. The winter recess will enable essential maintenance work to be carried out.
