A TRAINING SUCCESS

One of our junior members, Tommy D'Ortez, has been making a name for himself in sailing circles. He has attended all the training sessions run by the WYA and has gone from strength to strength.

During the session on February 8, he was the first Topper sailor, second on the water to a much faster dinghy. His consistency during the training sessions has been noted and he is hoping to join the Welsh Youth Sailing Squad. He also intends to take part in CYRCS, the youth racing circuit.

We wish him well and congratulate him on his well deserved success so far. Watch this space for further accolades.

ST. VALENTINE'S DAY SUPPER

As expected, the standard of cuisine was excellent. The large turnout enjoyed superb food in very convivial surroundings.

Many thanks to Deanna Morton and Mike Stace for their efforts.

An evening like this involved a lot of hard work which deserved the accolade of all the members and friends present.

It is hoped that Deanna and Mike will make their services available to the club in the near future. Watch this space.

CHEESE AND CAWL EVENING

The club is putting on a Cheese and Cawl Evening to celebrate St. David's Day.

Traditionally, this has been a well attended evening when members enjoy an authentic Welsh cawl and cheese.

We look forward to another successful evening - members and friends please note.

JAZZ EVENING

Greenhill Jazz Band have supported the club on several occasions. These talented youngsters deserve our support, so why not come down and enjoy good music in great surroundings on Saturday, March 8? To cater for the ravenous amongst you, there will be food available - what more do you want. Good food and great music!
