Yes, sailing did take place last Sunday. Conditions were light, but enjoyable, with the sailors appreciating the course set by race officer, Rolly Squibbs, assisted by Helen Williams.
As last week, positions changed several times during the race, with the final placings being: 1. Paul Johnson in a Solo; 2. Andrew Williams in a Laser; 3. Alan Lambert in a Solo; 4. John Roberts in a Solo; 5. Graham Wellman in a Solo; 6. Nick and Govan Berridge in a Laser 2000; 7. Angelo Fecci in a Topper.
Racing as usual this Sunday, gathering at 10 am for an 11 am prompt start.
Last Saturday, the club held its annual dinner dance and prize giving, which was a great success. More next week!
Tomorrow (Saturday) the club is holding its annual general meeting, commencing at 7 pm. Please make every effort to attend as your voice is important.
This (Friday) evening there will be food laid on as well as a plea for darters to take an opportunity to practice as the season recommences next Friday with a home match. Participating members please note.
