A cool, light breeze with a flat sea were conditions met with mixed feelings by the usual enthusiastic turnout. The changing wind direction posed problems for race officer Terry Evans who eventually set a triangular port course.

The fleet set off in a light breeze which was diminishing as the race progressed, which did not suit the larger boats. After taking handicaps into account the final 1-2-3-4 was: 1. Chris Mackay in a RS600; 2. Simon Smith in a Byte; 3. Andrew Williams in a Laser; 4. Nick Berridge and Govan Berridge in a Laser 2000.

As mentioned in previous articles, the winter series will alternate between mornings and afternoons, depending on the state of the tide. Consequently, this Sunday's proceedings will commence at 10 am for a prompt 11 am start. Participating sailors please note.

The Tenby contingent who travelled to Dale had a very productive first session. Many thanks to all who contributed, in particular to Ed Dashfield who is currently studying at Cardiff. The second session takes place at Dale tomorrow - let us hope for fair winds for our budding stars.

ANNUAL DINNER

The annual dinner was a resounding success. Many thanks to the staff of the Park Hotel who did us proud. A super meal in warm, convivial surroundings followed by the varied dancing music supplied by Gina contributed to a night to remember.

The commodore, Terry Evans, in a short address, paid tribute to the staff at the Park Hotel and thanked all who had made the evening a success.

He also thanked outgoing treasurer, Royce Thomas, who is unable to attend the annual general meeting. Royce had carried out the treasurer's duties in a most professional manner and the club was indebted to him.

After the commodore's addres, the prize-giving took place, which will be reported in more detail next week.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The annual general meeting will be held at the club tomorrow (Saturday) evening, commencing at 7.30 pm. Would members please make every effort to attend.

DARTS

The next set of matches will take place this (Friday) evening, with team A away, team B at home. Participating members please note.

Finally, anyone wishing to join this warm and friendly club should contact any member who will be pleased to supply further information. We look forward to meeting you.
