TENBY Round Tablers have said a fond farewell to a fellow fundraising member of the charity organisation.

The AGM on Monday (February 6) signalled the end of the year of fundraising for Round Tablers and the passing over of the roles of chairman and president.

This meeting also marked the end of 12 years in Tenby Round Table for Jonathan Webb, who hung up his president’s chain for the last time!

“Jon has been a valued member of the organisation over the years and is the founder of the Tenby Beer Festival. He will be sorely missed!” said chair Ed Spence, who is pictured with Jon (left).

The pair have overseen a record-breaking year for the Round Table, with the organisation raising a a whopping £27,344 in the last 12 months for local causes and charities.

The money was raised from two Beer Festivals (one which had been postponed from 2021) held at the town’s De Valence Pavilion venue; a Santa Run around the seaside town; and two well attended Summer Spectaculars at the harbour.

All the events were organised and put on by the thirteen members of Tenby Round Table with additional help from other volunteers.

“We are incredibly proud of the amount we have raised and the good that it will do for local causes, charities, and worthy individuals in our community,” continued Ed.

“Good luck to this year’s team - we’re sure it’s going to be a great 2023!”
