Tenby's Inshore Lifeboat Georgina Taylor launched at 4.40 pm on Wednesday after a report from a male that he was cut off by the tide somewhere on the South Beach.

The lifeboat was soon on the water and started a search of the rocks and caves from Castle Beach towards South Beach.

As the lifeboat got to the rocks below the Atlantic Hotel, the man was spotted on the rocks.

The lifeboat crew then waited between swells to go into the rocks and pick the casualty off.

He was taken back to the harbour where he was met by the coastguard sector manager.

The lifeboat then re housed.
