Simone Mansell Broome, a poet and performer who now lives in Drefach Felindre, Carmarthenshire, spent her early childhood in Upper Frog Street, Tenby.

Last Wednesday, Simone launched her second poetry book, 'Juice of the Lemon' , in the Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea.

Simone returned to Wales in late 2006 and is now extremely busy as a writer, performer, event organiser and workshop leader in South and West Wales.

She also runs and comperes 'Word Up', a successful monthly poetry night, in the Cellar Bar, Castle Cafe, Cardigan. Next 'Word Up' is on July 2 when the Welsh writer, Phil Carradice, is special guest.
