AS part of the town's 600th charter celebrations, Tenby Players are performing 'A Potted History of Tenby', twice every Sunday afternoon in August, at 1.30 pm and 2.15 pm.

Writer/director of this street theatre, Mike Thorne, told the Observer: "We started off with this production in St. Mary's Churchyard, which was a delightful venue, but unfortunately people seemed shy about coming into the churchyard to watch us. We therefore moved last Sunday into Tudor Square, and were rewarded with a much bigger audience, probably about 100 for each performance; many of them sat down in the middle of the traffic-free Square. We hope to be able to continue in the same spot for the next two Sundays. And, of course, we hope for continuing good luck with the weather.

"Our thanks to Kazbah for providing us with our electricity supply, and again to Griggles and Carew Castle for generously supplying our costumes."
