Recently married at Robina and Surfers Paradise Church, in Australia, were Mr. Anthony Jones and Miss Aileen Madge. The groom is the son of David Jones, of 48 Upper Hill Park, Tenby, and Suzanne Brady, of 54 The Glebe, Tenby, while the bride is the daughter of Allen and Elizabeth Madge, of 3 Narabeen Court, Robina, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Given away by her father, the bride looked radiant in a white Japanese silk strapless dress, with a red embroidered corset bodice, with the same detail flowing down the A-line skirt. Bridesmaids were Julie Madge (bride's sister) and Natalie Chant (bride's best friend), who both wore rich ruby red strapless dresses with sequinned bodices and skirts. Best man was Andrew 'Swedie' Davies (groom's friend) and groomsman was Dafydd Williams (groom's friend). The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Lou Boulton, and the couple left the church in a restored V8 Roadster for a reception at the Colonial Golf Club where the theme was beach and tropical, with sandcastles, starfish and frangipani flowers as table centrepieces. The wedding cake was a magnificent chocolate mudcake castle. During his speech, the groom thanked his father and step-mum Elaine, Christopher Davies (cousin), Swedie, Dafydd, Sophie Hay, Martin, Becky and baby Erin Owens, Kim and Joan Beynon, Ben Watkins and Kerry Morgan, who all travelled to Australia to attend the celebrations. The newly-married couple were farewelled in traditional Australian fashion, thanking each of the guests who then formed an arch of raised arms through which the couple ran to a waiting limousine taking them to a hotel in Surfers Paradise, before they left for a nine-day honeymoon in Borneo. The couple will be making their future home on the Australian Gold Coast.
