Tenby's Tamar class lifeboat, Haydn Miller, had barely been back on the slipway for two minutess after returning to the resort from a refit in Plymouth, when it was tasked to an emergency.

The coastguard called the all-weather lifeboat to Caldey Island to assist a casualty who had suffered a suspected broken knuckle at around 3 pm on Sunday.

The lifeboat was quickly on scene and sent three crew members up to the old school to assess and collect the casualty.

His knuckle definitely didn't look as it should, so his arm was immobilised and he was taken back to the lifeboat and returned to Tenby.

The man from Swansea was then met and taken to hospital by paramedics.
