Teeny took over in 2001 after the retirement of previous mechanic, Charles Crockford.
Over the past 17 years, not only has he been Tenby mechanic and involved with a huge number of all-weather lifeboat shouts, but he is also a trials mechanic for the Shannon class lifeboats which are currently being rolled out across the UK.
Although retiring as station mechanic, Teeny isn’t leaving the RNLI altogether - he will be staying on as a crew member and will still be involved with the Shannon trials.
During the celebration, Teeny was presented with a GoPro camera, which was paid for by the crew to show their appreciation for all his years’ service.
He is being replaced by Will Horton from Saundersfoot, who is moving to Tenby to take up the role.
