The first league game of the season saw Tenby up against Pembroke.

With a number of key players unavailable, it was down to the youngsters to step up to the mark.

Tenby started the better of the two teams and quickly forced several short corners, but the Pembroke defence held firm.

Tenby continued to pressurise and a jinking run by Sophie down the right wing, followed by a well-placed cross, saw Annie R. slot the ball home.

Although Tenby kept the momentum, they were unable to prevent Pembroke from equalising just before half-time from a penalty corner.

The second half saw Tenby continue to attack, but credit must go to the Pembroke goalie who kept them in the game.

However, save of the match was produced by Tenby's goalie Annie, who pulled off a top class save to ensure her side had a share of the points.

This was great team effort and the youngsters can be proud of their performances.

In particular, two players deserve a special mention, Rhian, for her determination in defence, and Rachel, who was immense in midfield.
