Last month Tenby Ladies Circle held their annual Handover Dinner at Swallow Tree Gardens, Saundersfoot.

Outgoing chairman, Barbara Merritt and incoming chairman, Karen Evans were joined by the following guests: Area 46 chairman, Lynne Miller; honorary member, Mary Morgan; Tenby Tangent chairman, Maxine Knight; Tenby Inner Wheel president, Marnie Owens; Tenby Soroptimists president-elect, Mary Megarry and Tenby Round Table's president's lady Claire Webb, along with many Circlers, past and present.

After everybody had enjoyed their meal it was time for the formalities of the evening.

Barbara looked back on her year fondly, thanking her officers and wishing good luck to two retiring members, Kathy Scourfield and Dilys Jenkinson.

Barbara's last task, before handing over to Karen, was to award Candy Pattison the honour of 'Circler of the Year'.

On becoming Tenby's newest chairman, Karen spoke of her plans for the year and formally welcomed her officers onto her 'team'. They are vice-chairman, Candy Pattison; minute secretaries Claire Webb and Karen John; correspondence secretary, Julia Sharp; treasurer, Sue Brace; area delegate, Jayne Osborne; dinner secretary, Linzi Hawkey, sports and social officer, Katie Broadhurst; dates secretary, Julie Morris; press and publicity officer, Cheryl Jones.

The evening finished on a lively note with much music and laughter, along with friendship and fun.
