The January meeting was held at the home of president Debs. Chairman Jayne welcomed all members, as well as president Debs, honorary Julia and prospective member Emma.
Jayne and her committee informed all present how the forthcoming 'Auction of Promises' was taking shape. All members have been given tickets to sell, the cost of these being £5, to include food and a disco afterwards. Members are asked to be at the Rugby Club by 7 pm and are reminded that the event is taking place on Friday, January 30.
The Area Ball takes place at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel, on Saturday, January 24. Cost of the evening is £27.50 per person and names and cheques are needed by chairman Jayne as soon as possible.
The Area meeting, due to have beeen held last Friday, had to be postponed and will now take place in February - date to be confirmed.
New member Jane Colley reported on the Christmas dinner held at The Mews.
Next month's meeting is on Thursday, February 12, with the venue to be confirmed.
