July's meeting of Tenby Ladies Circle was held at the home of Circler Sian. Chairman Jayne gave a warm welcome to her president, Debbie Davies, and honorary members, Michelle Grigg and Julia Wood. Kath reported on the Champagne and Canapés Cruise on June 28, which turned out to be a 'dry' cruise, with plan B having to be put into operation. Kath thanked David Rees, of Tenby Lifeboat Station, for a very informative talk on the history of the lifeboat, along with a few glasses of bubbles and a nibble on canapés. Then it was off for a cocktail or two at Roniz and on to Bar 10. It appeared that some suffered from 'sea' sickness, despite not having hit the ocean waves!
Chairman Jayne reported on a very enjoyable evening at the Inner Wheel handover dinner held at Carrington's. She was very taken with the health and safety introduction at the beginning of the evening! It was a fun evening, which included a game with a 2p piece, good food and excellent company.
Circle tee-shirts and fleeces are now being ordered. Please contact chairman Jayne if you need anything. Each Circler has been asked to donate two books at the next meeting for a 'book swop', with a fee being charged for each book you 'borrow'. Sergeant-at-arms for the evening was Mel, who fined several members for no badges and one for asking for a lycra pinny!
