October's meeting of Tenby Ladies Circle was held at the home of honorary member Averil. Julia thanked Averil for hosting the meeting and gave a warm welcome to president Ruth and new member Sian. The girls' night out was reported on by Cheryl. The evening began with nibbles in the Stage Door. Ten girls, Circlers and friends then went to the Indian for a meal and on into town for a few drinks, ending at the Rugby Club. Another great night out. Ruth reported on the Soroptimist Lunch, which she attended along with chairman Julia and honoraries Av and Debs. The meal was lovely, after which they retired to the bar and had an enjoyable afternoon. Forthcoming dates: Marie Curie Ladies Driving Day - October 22; Friendship Book - October 30, Carmarthen; Firework Night - November 4 at the Rugby Club, each member to make 1/2lb (flour) dough, please roll and cut, meeting at 5 pm. Fashion Show - November 18, models should have dates for each shop. Meeting at the De Valence 10 am on the Saturday morning; Area Rally Bridgend - November 19, Sunday lunch £10.50; Cardiff Weekend - November 24-26 (Jayne still has places); Winter Carnival - December 9, meeting at 4 pm; Christmas Dinner - December 16 - The Reef; Spa Day - January 6 - Celtic Haven; Charity Golf Day and Casino Night - March 23, 2007. The next Circle meeting will be held at chairman Julia's on November 9, starting at 7.30 pm, with a floral demonstration by Julie, of Elements.
