TENBY U12s 14 pts. FISHGUARD 12
From the kick-off, it was evident in the first exchanges that, due to the excellent playing conditions and good refereeing, both sides wanted to play expansive, crowd-entertaining rugby.
With the first quarter proving to be pretty even, with both teams tackling hard and some final passes not going to hand, Fishguard put that right by putting their wing free down the right to score an unconverted try.
And it wasn't many minutes before Tenby, due to some loose play, found themselves 12-0 down when their opponents scored a second converted try.
With five minutes to half-time, the boys realised they had to up their game, which they duly did by going through the phases, which allowed the hard-working Ryan, who was filling the gap in midfield, to straighten the line and drive at the heart of the defence, setting up quick ruck ball, which Jacob fed to Adam, who made a good break. With the hard working forwards in support to win the ball when he was eventually tackled, Max, Aran, Lewis and Edward picked and drove at their opponents until, five metres from the try-line, Lewis ripped the ball from the maul and, with two defenders on him, bulldozed his way over for an excellent team score, which Adam converted to make it 7-12 at half-time.
From the restart, both sides still wanted to play open, running rugby, which was starting to stretch both teams.
Halfway through the second half, Tenby took full advantage by winning quick ball through the forwards to free their backs, with Natty giving the final pass for Harry to beat his man and sprint 50 metres to score a brilliant team try, which Adam again converted to make the score 14-12.
With 10 minutes remaining, Tenby's hard tackling through Jordan, Nick, Owain and, in his first game, Jac D. J., kept Fishguard at bay. With Mally, Kurtis, Ryan and Morgan putting lots of pressure on their opponents when they had the ball, they kept them out and eventually drove them down into their own 22 when the final whistle sounded for a well-earned victory.
Thanks to coaches Andy and Lloyd, parents for all their help and support. Special mention goes to Rachel, Denise, Shirley and Alison for their sterling work in the cafe. Oh, Happy Mothers Day!

TENBY U12s 12 pts.
WHITLAND 25
After some really wet weather at the end of last week, Tenby United Under 12s, with much hard work from their coaches and Mark from All-Mak, the main sponsor, managed to entertain Whitland in a very exciting game at the Clicketts on Sunday.
Tenby started the game much the stronger team, with all the possession and territory in the first half due to excellent rucking and mauling by the forwards, plus great breaks, sniping runs and general threequarter play from the backs, but they still found themselves 10-0 down at half-time.
The second half started in much the same way, with Tenby playing all the rugby, but not turning the pressure into points.
Tenby then found themselves 15-0 down due to similar mistakes, like a missed tackle or two, or a poorly thrown pass, same as in the first half.
After this, Tenby finally made their hard efforts pay dividends and drag themselves back into the match with two well-worked tries, one by Harry and the other scored and converted by Adam.
Unfortunately, as Tenby tired, a couple of mistakes allowed Whitland two late scores to make the final score 25-12 to Whitland.
Many thanks to all parents and special mention, once again, to Rachel and Sally in the café.
Team: Max, Ryan, Lewis, Kurtis, Nick, Aran, Mally, Morgan, Adam, Tom, Jacob, Harry, Jordan, Owain, Jac D. J., Louis, Chris.
