Tenby Under 9s Bs once again showed what a team they are fast becoming with yet another enthralling game of rugby - in fact, probably the best one they have had so far!

Against a strong Pembroke side on their turf, they began a game that fast looked like it was going only one way, with the home team taking two early tries, but shortly before half-time, Ben pulled an excellent try back.

As play resumed in the second half, Tenby found their feet and began to fight back until Lewis got their second try to level it up.

The two sides matched each other and ground was hard to take from either side from then on and so it ended 2-2, with Jack taking man-of-the-match for Tenby. Well done boys!

Tenby U7s 6 tries

Pembroke U7s 2

In an outstanding game by both teams, it was Tenby's youngsters who came out on top, winning by six tries to two.

Kyle Hay grabbed the first, with Dylan John making it two. Pembroke then levelled the score with two tries of their own.

However, a double from Alex Wainwright, followed by a brace from Carl Thomas, secured the victory for the Seasiders' talented young side.

Tenby U8s 5 tries

Pembroke U8s 5

The spoils were shared in this contest, with Tenby making up for a heavy loss away to Pembroke previously.

The teams matched each other try for try and with a wealth of talent shining through at such a young age, Tenby can be assured of a great future at senior level judging by this performance.

Tenby's tries came from Jay Brace, Ryan Scourfield (2) and Oliver Wheeler (2).

Trimsaran 0 Tenby 9 nine tries

The young Folly Farmers played an exciting game at Trimsaran on Sunday.

Tenby took a while to settle, with the big Trimsaran forwards keen to keep the ball tight, but their defence was superb throughout, with Harvey Bowles, Ben Millward and Jamie Ebsworth, who made the tackle of the day, keen to put the opposition on their back sides.

When play was moved wide, the talented Tenby backs prospered, with seven of the nine tries coming from wide attacking positions.

Thomas Harding Jones stepped up to scrum-half and controlled play with two well-taken tries. Henry McBeth and Max Brindley caused mayhem with their running angles. Harri Williams showed great pace when he ran in two tries.

Also showing his talent was Dom Booth, who scored three great tries using his upper body strength and pace. William Swales is also showing great maturity as a player who reads the game well beyond his years. Other try scorers were Ben, Max and Henry.

The team can take a lot out of this and should never be fazed about playing out of the Pembrokshire goldfish bowl, as before playing us, Trimsaran had only lost once in five outings.

This Sunday they are on the road again with a fixture against Furnace from Llanelli.
