On Sunday, Tenby were at The Clicketts trying to get their second win of the season at home to St. Davids - a team they knew they had to play well against. Tenby kicked-off and immediately created a chance with a good bit of mauling from Jack Cummins and Ryan Cole. With a good pass coming from the maul, Danny Wainwright finished a well-worked try in the corner. Then, after some sloppy defending, St. Davids replied quickly with a try of their own. This try seemed to wake the home team up as their play seemed to improve and they found themselves a try up, again through Danny once more. The good rucking work of Jack Broadhurst and Tom Murphy enabled Danny to pick up and finish smartly. With Tenby now looking confident, another try was scored, this time from Jack Broadhurst bashing his way through the tackles to score. The good use of rolling subs enabled Morgan Sparey, Declan Cole and Alex Thomas to get stuck in. From a great pass by Jac Waters, Ryan Cole bundled his way over for Tenby's fourth. Shortly before the break, Toby Poole pushed off defender after defender to touch down, leaving the half-time score 5-1. St. Davids kicked-off the second half full of intention. However, Tenby proved too strong, with another try being scored, this time from Alex Thomas after bursting out of a good maul. St. Davids' heads never dropped, though, and they fought back with a good try of their own, despite some tough hits from Jack Tucker. The home team extended their lead straight after when Ben Palin took off from the restart and touched the ball down. A try apiece from St. Davids and Ben, once again, brought the game to an end with Tenby comfortable winners. A good overall performance from Tenby brought a good win. Keep it up boys! Tenby team: Ryan Cole, Danny Wainwright, Jac Waters, Jack Cummins, Ben Palin, Jack Broadhurst, Tom Murphy, Toby Poole, Jack Tucker, Declan Cole, Morgan Sparey and Alex Thomas.
