Sunday before last saw Tenby U15s take on Neyland U16s. Tenby kicked off and scored a try within the first few minutes. Playing some lovely rugby, they then took control of the game.

The hard work the boys have put in during training is finally paying off. The first half saw Scott Kerrison, their pacy centre, cross the line for a hat-trick of tries, while second row Alex Jenkins scored from a fine solo effort. Fullback Lee Hope, who is settling into the team well, crossed for a brace of tries.

Just before the break, forward Duncan Meacher crashed over for the final try of the first half, and with four of the seven tries being converted, it made the score 43-0 at the interval.

The second half saw both teams making changes.

To their credit, Neyland never gave up, while Tenby slightly lost their shape for a while.

With 15 minutes to go, however, Tenby increased the pressure, which saw them add a further two tries to the scoreline, with Neyland replying with one, the final score being 53-5.

This was another fine display by the talented U15s.

Thanks to Gethin for refereeing, Neyland for fulfilling the fixture at such short notice, and, as always, thanks to parents and friends for their continued support. Training after school on Friday at the Clicketts.
