The Inner Wheel Club of Tenby met at the Fourcroft Hotel on Monday afternoon. President Carwen expressed her sadness on the recent death of Lilian Bowler, who had been a past president of the Tenby Inner Wheel Club. Members stood for a minute's silence to mark their respect. A business meeting commenced, with various forthcoming events being discussed. The quiz held at the Bowling Club had been a great success. Carwen expressed her thanks to all who had helped. Members extend their good wishes to Lilian Lowe, an honorary member of the club, who celebrates her 100th birthday next Friday, February 23. Members decided to enter a team at the Soroptimist Club quiz night on February 20. A very interesting letter was read by Carwen from Michelle Cole about her experience in Kenya. The club's next charity event will be a Silent Auction with Cheese and Wine in aid of Cancer Research Wales. This will be held at the Fourcroft on Wednesday, February 21, at 8 pm. There is a charge of £5 per ticket, to include the cheese and wine. All are welcome. The next meeting will be at the Fourcroft on March 12 at 12.30 pm. This will be a business meeting, with the election of officers for the coming year.
