The chair, Clr. Lane, gave a report of meeting with an American family who were visiting their ancestral home of Tenby. After their visit, they very kindly donated money to the volunteer group to help their efforts. It has been decided to use the money to buy hanging baskets and plants to distribute to the 10 schools in the Tenby family of schools, for the children to prepare the baskets for display in the town. A further donation from Mrs. M. Watts is most appreciated. Wednesday, July 9, is the date that has been set for the judging of Tenby in Bloom, with the presentation of awards on Wednesday, July 30. There is much more help needed with the Battery Gardens. The volunteers wondered if any of the youths involved with the Welsh baccalaureate, or the local cadet organisations, would be willing to lend some much needed muscle. The chair is to give a presentation of last year's very impressive portfolio to the Lions. If any other organisation would like to see this, Sue would be happy to do so. B & Q have donated daffodils ready for next year and have offered heather for planting now. Cash Bingo started at the De Valence on Wednesday.
