Tenby In Bloom held its 2026 awards ceremony at On George’s on September 29 - with the longstanding contest’s committee giving a great big ‘blooming’ thanks to all those that took part once again this year.
As the summer comes to a close and Tenby Bloom hibernates for the winter - the committee members would like to thank everyone who took part in this year’s floral contest.
The school poster competition was a great success. Eight schools were involved and the results were ‘amazing’.
The main gardening event was once again outstanding too, with committee members and judges just love visiting all of the entries to see such amazing results.

Tenby in Bloom committee chair, Sue Lane remarked: “We have some wonderful green-fingered residents in the town. I can’t thank you enough for inviting us into your personal spaces and we appreciate all the hard work that you put into it.
“Once again, the businesses in the town surpassed themselves. The colours the displays and the overall effect this has on the town is phenomenal!
“We must not forget the holiday parks who once again pulled all the stops out to give us fantastic displays.

“We at Tenby Bloom always say that first impressions count and are vital to our economy. Please keep up the good work and we hope to see you and new entries next year!” she added.
Businesses, shops, restaurants, schools, hotels and households once again pulled out all the stops to help the seaside town look blooming marvellous for the summer season - and a record number of entries recorded!
Judging for the annual In Bloom contest took place on July 8, with Tenby’s establishments joining in to show off their floral flare and displays, whilst at the same time making the town more colourful over the summer season.

This year, once again In Bloom committee members Sue Lane and Tish Rossiter were joined by guest judges - David Lewis, Roger Davies and Dr John Griffiths.
