Tenby Juniors have been travelling the country far and wide.

On Sunday, eight of them travelled to Abersytwyth and on Monday, 13 headed off for Carmarthen.

Oliver Duckett, fresh from his Canadian rugby tour, had the best gross for Tenby, and Dan Cope scored the best nett from Tenby. The scores, however, didn't give the team the best points for the Order of Merit, but we are still hanging in there!

Oliver had the same score in Carmarthen and came ninth in the gross competition, closely followed by Richard Morton, with only one mark between the two of them. The best news from Carmarthen was Sam Morgan's score. An excellent 47 points, playing in his first ever open and first time on Carmarthen golf course.

Hopefully, this will be the first of many wins for the talented youngster, a force to be reckoned with in the future.

Congratulations to everyone who took part, you did your club proud, and a big thank you to Ian for all the hard work behind the scenes in organising the two trips.

On Sunday, in Tenby, five competitions were played in sunny conditions. First time playing in club competitions, Andrew and Jonathan played some excellent golf, with Andrew winning a prize and scoring under 60 for the first time. In fact, his score for the 18 was outstanding. Georgia Thomas and Katy Rees also won a prize each in the hidden hole competition, with Anne-Marie Dassen very close.

This week has been a busy one with Tenby Junior OPen on Wednesday (report next week) and today is Oliver's Captain's Day. No doubt it will be a good one nand we wish you all luck and hope you enjoy the day.

From Junior Captain's Day you will see on the notice board the Haf Eclectic. Everyone has a sheet. All you need to do is fill in a card whenever you go out and record your best score for that hole. The first 18 has been done for you, all you need do is record any improvements you make.

You have got 10 goes and you have up until September 30.

On Monday, there is golf jamboree for girls with a handicap of 30 and above and for any new girls interested in taking up the game.

Anyone wishing to come down, please contact Julia on (01834) 814624. Some are off to Glynhir to play in an open which is another Order of Merit competition, so good luck to those who go.

The following Thursday is the Open at Milford, another chance to bump up those points in the Order of Merit. Happy golfing!
