This year's annual Open Week (sponsored by Bourne Leisure), the 28th to be staged by Tenby Golf Club, got off to a lively start on Saturday, with the Captain's Reception sponsored by S. A. Brain, suppliers of wines and spirits. Visitors from golf clubs throughout the UK and mainland Europe were welcomed to the town by Clr. John Griffiths, Mayor of Tenby, and to the club by this year's captain, Malcolm Arlott. Following the formal welcomes, organisers David Hughes and Bob Parsons outlined the details of the full week of golf and social events which lay ahead. A lively evening ensued, with regular and first time supporters enjoying the opportunity to mix with old friends and meet new ones. Sunday
