I have had so many people stop me on the street saying, “what a joy it is for the Club to open for members on Wednesday, September 15” (writes Shirley). The Committee want to welcome all the members from before we shut down, to see how many new members can join in the future. If you are an ‘old’ member, (like Marlene and Pat who are finally going on the holiday they booked two years ago and unable to come to the first meeting,) please let one of the committee know if you will also be away on holiday, so you can be counted in. The essence of Club membership is for members to be regular attendees.

Betty has won an award for her beautiful front garden. I met Hazel and her husband in town last Friday on her 83rd birthday, Penblwydd Hapus Hazel! Do members remember… at Christmas time before Covid, Raymond Oak, who has just passed away at 93, came and played his mouth organ for us? Our sympathy goes to Roz, his daughter, and Gerald.
