On Wednesday, 27 members met at the Paddock Inn, Penally, for lunch (writes S.D.). Anne had warned that the club members were a noisy lot, but I am sure the staff didn't expect to hear a competition of Welsh language and English singing around the tables! It was a spontaneous outbursting between local Welsh and English 'newcomers' and caused great hilarity to all members and staff.
And on that 'note', the members congratulate the staff on the enjoyable lunch they served, especially the Kumera and pumpkin soup. Kumera being the NZ name for sweet potato.
Next week's meeting on January 29 will be at 2 pm at Augustus Place Hall to hear a talk by John about Singapore. New members welcome. Please contact Anne 843634, or Christine/Graham on 870277 for information about the club.
