MONKTON U11s 0 TENBY U11s 8

After a morning of torrential rain, the sun shone on Tenby on their visit to Monkton. Tenby didn't waste any time in scoring their first goal which sneaked into the net from some fancy footwork by Alex Bayley. A second swiftly followed - a fine solo effort by Elliot Scotcher. Will Cowan scored the third and fourth in quick succession, the latter coming from a Greg Palin corner, and Scotcher scored again just before half-time, the result of a well-worked set-piece. The second-half found Tenby running uphill and the midfield took a few minutes to get back in their stride, but Iwan Izzard, Owen Bateman, Rob Luly and Henry Whittaker were rock-solid in defence, swiftly dealing with any Monkton attack and giving Dan Storer a quiet time in goal. Jake Proctor worked tirelessly to provide scoring opportunities, and Scotcher thumped in his third of the morning. Palin volleyed the ball into the bottom corner of the net, and Proctor scored just before the final whistle, bringing the goal total to eight. Keep up the good work boys!

TENBY UNDER 8s 11 KILGETTY B UNDER 8s 0 Tenby continued their flying start to the Pembrokeshire Under Eights League with another big home win against Kilgetty B. Charlie Flockton opened the scoring at the Clicketts, and Tom Harries made it two-nil, cutting inside from the left wing to blast a shot into the roof of the net. On a heavy pitch, Kilgetty worked hard to stifle Tenby's attacks. But the home side played a patient passing game, and were rewarded with a third goal, scored by Tom Dyson shortly before the break. As the sun broke through the clouds in the second-half, Tenby began to break down Kilgetty's defence. Tom Dyson hit a long shot, the wet ball slipped through the 'keeper's hands and Spencer Williams pounced to make it four-nil. After an overlapping run from defence, Owen Coombs put in a low cross for Tom Harries to fire in his second. The attacking midfielder then completed his hat-trick, intercepting a clearance to slot the ball neatly inside the left post. Scott Ferney made a skilful run through the Kilgetty defence to create goal number seven. His first shot was well saved, but he blasted in the rebound. He was also involved in goal eight. His cross from the right was deflected by the 'keeper, and this time Tom Dyson headed home. Tom Dyson then hit a long shot against the crossbar, which Jannick Coop followed in to make it nine-nil. A left foot cracker from Spencer Williams moved the score into double figures. And Tom Harries rounded off a good morning with his fourth goal just before the final whistle. Thanks to Park Road Fish and Chips, Tenby Under 8s kit sponsors, and thanks to both teams and their supporters who braved the drizzle for the early kick-off.

MERLINS BRIDGE U12s 1 TENBY U12s 11

The Tenby Cycle and Skateboard sponsored Tenby Under 12s travelled across the Cleddau to Merlins Bridge for their third game of the season. The heavy rain, which fell for most of the morning, kindly stopped as kick-off approached and left only a strong wind blowing down the pitch. Tenby captain, Greg Lees-Griffiths, elected to play with the wind and his side virtually encamped in the Bridge's half for the opening 30 minutes. The visiting midfield of Jordan Richards, Ashley Smith, Gareth Warlow and Daniel Edwards worked tirelessly and gave good service to their two front runners, Josh Koop and Curtis Hurlow. Tenby's defence quickly extinguished any break out by the home side and tried to release wing backs Alex Heesom and Nicky Jones as often as possible. Goals came at regular intervals throughout the half, as the Seasiders used the wind to their advantage. Jordan Richards scored three, Josh Koop two and Gareth Warlow and Curtis Hurlow one apiece. The Tenby defence were called into action during the first five minutes of the second half as Merlins Bridge attacked with venom. Patrick Elliot, playing his first game for the red and blacks, was outstanding in defence and has forged a solid centre-back pairing with Lees-Griffiths. Elliot showed his defensive qualities when he headed a certain goal-bound shot off the line. Minutes later, goalkeeper Jake Roberts made his first save of the morning, diving bravely at the feet of a Bridge attacker. However, the home side's pressure paid off when from a goalmouth scramble the ball somehow found its way through a dozen pairs of legs into the back of the net. The visitors composed themselves and began to play as they did in the first half. Ieuan Williams, Rob Fairlie and Oliver Worley came on for Tenby to replace Jones, Heesom and Hurlow. Koop added two more goals, with Smith and Warlow completing the scoring. Although creating numerous chances in the second half, the Seasiders only converted four and this will have to be rectified in order to win any silverware. Tenby side: J. Roberts, A. Heesom, G. Lees-Griffiths, P. Elliot, N. Jones, D. Edwards, A. Smith, J. Richards, G. Warlow, C. Hurlow, J. Koop, I. Williams, O. Worley, R. Fairlie. TENBY U13s 8 JOHNSTON U13s 0

Tenby went into this game on the back of three wins out of three. They started the game with some solid attacking moves, built up from their midfield players, Alex, Tom, Rhys and Lewis. Tenby managed to secure a penalty when Ross cut inside the Johnston defence and Daryl stepped up to tuck it away. Johnston broke away a couple of times, catching Tenby's defence sleeping and hitting the crossbar twice. Johnston played a very effective offside trap during the first half, but Tenby managed to get the better of things during the second period. Tenby were three or four goals up when the second half started and immediately started pressurising Johnston, scoring another four goals. Part of the way through the second half, the Tenby substitutes came on and were utilised to great effect. After a shaky five minutes, Tenby's defenders, Ianto, Joe, Lloyd and Sam, held firm, managing another game without conceding a goal. Tenby squad: Luke Hamilton, Sam Ormond, Ianto Griffiths, Lloyd Thomas, Joseph Richards, Alex Harley (capt.), Lewis Davies, Rhys Hewson, Tom Nicholas, Daryl Mansbridge, Ross Gray. Subs - Tom Baker, Lewis Hodgson, Brad Jenkins. Thanks go to Charles and Remi for coaching the boys.
