LETTERSTON U16s 0
TENBY U16s 9
The Andrew Price sponsored Tenby U16 side continued their unbeaten run as they progressed to the next round of Pembrokeshire Cup.
With Letterston the opposition, Tenby were always favourites to go through, but on a small pitch, their opponents have thrown up a few surprise results over recent seasons, but this wasn't one of them, with Tenby running out 9-0 winners.
With the semi-final of the West Wales Cup scheduled for March 20, Tenby used this game as an opportunity to rest Jake Proctor and Greg Caine from the squad, as both were carrying niggles, and experiment in a couple of positions, making sure everyone has a fair crack at securing a place in the side for the upcoming big fixtures, with the squad still challenging for silverware on three fronts.
Will Cowan took his place on the bench as the remainder of the squad was rotated, but when he did enter the fray in the second half, was quick to get on the score sheet with a timely reminder of his versatility.
Tenby started the game spritely with an emphasis on moving the ball quickly and executing set plays effectively, which they did well throughout the game. Overall it was an encouraging performance, with good build up play which could have resulted in more goals.
Craig Lucas continued his rich scoring streak by bagging another four in emphatic style. Robin Goddard also collected a hat-trick and managed to get himself in many good positions and on another day could have equalled the tally of Craig Lucas.
The midfield of Luke Phillips, Iwan Izzard, Ben Steele and Kyran Lewis dominated the game, with impressive deliveries from Luke and Ben in the wide areas creating many chances.
The defensive positions were filled by Greg Palin (right back), who looked comfortable throughout, Ryan Fielder (left back), who is growing in confidence every game, and Ross Lascelles and Alex Bailey, who at the centre of defence were rock solid.
Dan Storer in goal had one of his quieter games, as the scoreline suggests, but bigger challenges are sure to lie ahead in coming weeks.
The final goal was scored by Ben Steele with a right foot strike from 18 yards which left the Letterston 'keeper with little chance, although he had made a number of fine saves previously.
Nathan Davies was another player who only entered the fray in the second half, but immediately looked sharp and hungry for the games which lie ahead, and went close with a looping header.
The final few minutes also saw the introduction of Elliot Scotcher, whose looking to put minutes under his belt after a long absence with a broken arm, prior to visiting Ipswich later in the month, for which his team-mates wish him well.
TENBY U15s 0
HAKIN U15s 1
The unbeaten T. P. Hughes sponsored Seasiders were up against Hakin and their impressive 100 per cent record in the most important game of the season so far at the Clicketts on the weekend.
It was a 'must win' game for Tenby if they wanted the title, but would they be able to overcome the team who were taking the league by storm.
No longer the tentative starters of old, Tenby swept straight into action and survived an early Hakin onslaught, with George making some good early saves. Callum's speed troubled the Hakin defence from the outset and he was denied several opportunities by sound defending.
However, Tenby were unable to play their usual football, with Hakin closing them down quickly.
Second half and more of the same, with Tenby unable to gain their natural rhythm and Hakin's relentless forays into the home side's goal area finally seeing them rewarded with a goal early in the half.
Tenby rose to the challenge at a fast and furious pace, with George heroically keeping the ball out of the net at his end as the Hakin goal was pressurised at the other.
Time and time again Tenby came agonisingly close to scoring, but Hakin's defence scrambled clear all the home side could throw at them, and the final whistle, sadly, ended the Seasiders' unbeaten run.
Emotions ran high after the game, and whilst not one of Tenby's best performances, every player gave their all and can be rightly proud of the part they played.
Thanks go to coaches James and John, referee Andy, John on the line, kit sponsors T. P. Hughes and Jameston Village Stores, and the touchline supporters.

Kilgetty U11s 2
Tenby U11s 2
An early kick-off at Kilgetty saw the Seasiders take on their hardest game of the season and share the points in an excellent game of football.
Tenby had plenty of possession and made the most of the good playing surface with quick passing and movement.
The visitors worked hard, but could not finish off their chances due to excellent work from the Kilgetty goalkeeper, Phillips, who played well.
Eventually, after battling well in the middle of the park, Kilgetty broke away and scored the first goal of the game.
Tenby fought back and just before half-time earned a free-kick 15 yards out on the right flank. Toby Poole placed the ball and with a terrific clean strike put it in the top left-hand corner.
Tenby's defence of Tom Rossiter and Tom James stood firm and defended strong to close down the physical Kilgetty side.
Tom Murphy made excellent runs down the right, and linked well with Sam Harries-Perfect.
Tenby continued to play a passing game and a good cross into the box from Poole saw the ever-improving Caie Elms volley the ball in with an excellent strike to give the away side the advantage.
Kilgetty broke from midfield immediately, as Tenby sat back, and brought the score level with five minutes remaining.
James Harries, in goal for Tenby, dominated his area and distributed quick ball to the flanks.
Tenby scored in the last few minutes, but the referee ruled it out and a draw was a fair result in this physical and challenging local derby.
Well done to the two sides for entertaining a good crowd who thoroughly enjoyed the game.
Thanks to Matt Broadhurst and Dean Rossiter for managing and coaching the two young sides.
