TENBY U11s 10
CAREW U11s 0
The Andrew Price sponsored U11s played their first game of 2009 and enjoyed a good win against local rivals Carew.
With the sub-zero weather of the last few weeks gone for now, Saturday was perfect for football and the junior pitch was also in top condition, with the boys looking forward to the game.
The first 15 minutes saw both teams enjoy plenty of possession and Natty was called into action after some good football from the visitors.
Malley joined Jordan and Harry in the defence and played very well, as did Billy and Jack in midfield. Adam alongside George made the Carew defenders work with some good football and great interplay.
Jack, with some strong tackling and hard running, linked up well with Adam as Tenby took control of the game and started to make chance after chance.
But it was Billy whose pass let in George to score the first.
The goals then came regularly as Adam scored four, Billy added two more, Jack also netted two and George finished off the game with his second and Tenby's 10th.
All credit to Carew, though; they worked non-stop all game and at times made Tenby work very hard for their victory.
Well done boys and thanks to everyone who supported the team: Natty John, Jordan Cornick, Mally Paxton, Harry Goforth (capt.), Billy Truman, Jack Parkinson, George Taylor, Adam Davidson.

MUMBLES
RANGERS U14s 3
Third round of the West Wales Cup and the T. P. Hughes sponsored team welcomed Mumbles Rangers to The Clicketts on a bitter, but dry, morning.
Tenby were rampant from the start and had several close opportunities, but it took a great pass from James to David who found the back of the net to open the scoring.
Mumbles Rangers came back strongly and pressurised the Tenby goal relentlessly. Tenby defended well, with George right in the thick of the action and Sam making a spectacular save on the line to stop an almost certain equaliser.
The half ended with Tenby having the slight advantage.
After the break, the Tenby half was the scene for most of the action. As in recent games, the team couldn't capitalise on their lead and saw their advantage disappear with three well-taken goals.
Changes were made, but Tenby could do little to stem the forward surges of the visitors who ran out seemingly comfortable victors.
No victory for Tenby, but an important part of their learning curve as Mumbles Rangers were pretty formidable opponents in a fair game. Heads were held high under the continued onslaught and several players acquitted themselves well.
Thanks to coach John and James, sponsors T. P. Hughes and Jameston Village Stores, Ted on the line and supporters.
Team: George, Cheyne, Tom, Jack, Sam, Hugo, Joe, Toby, David, Elliot, James, Rhys, Jerome, Nathan.
