Tenby Town Council are looking to tap into Pembrokeshire County Council’s Streetscape Paint Scheme grant to help spruce-up the frontage of the De Valence Pavilion.
At their most recent meeting it was noted that the council and community engagement officer were working alongside David Jones of the De Valence CIC, on a grant bid for the scheme.
Cllr Laurence Blackhall suggested that the Clerk and Mayor be authorised to sign off the bid as it would likely require taking a percentage from reserves to provide the required 20% match funding.
The grant was to a maximum of £25,000 so, with a contribution from the Town Council of £6,000, a range of works totalling £31,000 could be completed.
Members agreed to the proposal.
