WHY not swing into Christmas with a special easy-listening jazz show in the middle of Tenby?
Claudia and the Jazzmasters, described as 'the Cream of South Wales Muzos', are performing at St. Mary's Church House on Saturday, December 17.
It's billed as 'The Christmas Jazz Concert of the Year.'
Tenby-based Claudia Gunnars (pictured) brings upbeat Icelandic cool to some standard classics and hits from the musicals. Her backing band are well-known and acclaimed musicians.
They include Gary Phillips, international guitarist with the Gypsy Jazz Band, and Wayne Warlow, conductor of the BBC Radio Orchestra and the BBC Big Band.
Dominic Norcross is on sax and Sam Christie, nephew of the film star Julie Christie, takes the drums. Robbie Hall plays blues harmonica and the Irish Melodeon.
So look forward to funky, sophisticated and stylish music in the festive style. If you like Christmas music and want to hear it live for a change, this fun show is for you.
There'll be, for example, a welter of vintage Christmas favourites, including some from the '40s and '50s, like the duet - Baby It's Cold Outside'.
Church House provides a cosy theatre with bags of Christmas atmosphere and seating for 200.
Also making his solo debut at Church House is Jack Stacey, an 18-year-old jazz pianist from Tenby.
If we're not lucky enough to get a white Christmas this year, then at least you'll be able to hear a jazzed-up version in Church House.
Tickets at £12 include a glass of festive mulled wine. To book call 07966 549504 or 843485 or pay at the doors which open at 7 pm.
What better way to get in the mood for Christmas than with a magical evening like this?
