A Pembrokeshire based charity has been given a boost by councillors in Tenby to coincide with their annual ‘Christmas toy appeal’ launch.

At Tuesday night’s meeting of Tenby Town Council, members received correspondence from PATCH manager, Tracy Olin, in Milford Haven, regarding the toy appeal.

“Last year we gave four to five age and gender appropriate gifts and toys, along with a book, cuddly toy, art material, sweets or chocolates, as well as wrapping paper and sticky tape to over 550 children all over our county,” explained Tracy.

Clr. Laurence Blackhall told his fellow councillors that he was aware of the work of the PATCH charity through their links to St. Mary’s Church in Tenby, and said that they were a ‘fantastic organisation’, before proposing that the town council donate £100 towards the cause, which his colleagues agreed to.
