Following on from last week's report, the Annual Open Week continued with warm and sunny weather for visiting golfers to enjoy Tenby's championship golf links at its very best.

During the prize presentations on Friday evening, club secretary, David Hancock, expressed his thanks to all visiting golfers for a highly successful event; Marilyn Marquiss for her excellent administration and all the club staff for their hard work; Chris Jenkins and the greenkeeping staff for the excellent condition of the course; Steve and Hilary Turner for first class meals and the friendly efficient service from their permanent and temporary catering and bar staff; golf professional Rhys Harry and his young professional assistants in the pro shop, who also laid on a refreshment service on the 12th tee; all the volunteer helpers and organisers, including the captain Idwal David, lady captain Heather Morgan, match and handicap chairman Jim Martin and photographers Bob Lusher and Mary Rowell.

Finally, he congratulated vice-captain John Stenson, Robert Parsons, David Hughes, Bob Lusher and Richard Ormond, who had worked so hard to ensure the success of the event, both during the week and throughout the six months planning and preparation period.
