The second meeting in July was well attended and it was nice to see Tony Webster back again. The president started the meeting off with his usual amusing quotes gleaned from newspapers and the internet. Then it was onto the meeting proper. No visitors unfortunately, but the club is open to visitors at all meetings - just phone Lew Day on 844633 for information. If you are a 'stay at home' retired or semi-retired professional or business man then why not try pastures new. Members find it gets them out from under the wife's feet two mornings a month when they enjoy a coffee and Tenby gossip. Anniversary boys were Ken Hamilton, on the day, and Lew Day later in the month, two of the 1926 brigade. Ken and Lew went to different schools together! The trip to Brecon will see over 40 of them venturing forth on July 30. Speaker for the morning was Ray Poole, who gave a talk and slide presentation of his recent visit to Vancouver and his adventures around the Canadian Rockies - including several slides of bears which, it is hoped, were taken with a zoom lens! Well done Ray. It was an interesting talk and maybe it can be given again on a Ladies Day. The next meeting is on August 6 when the 10- minute speaker will be Harold James. A 'song and dance'? - you can never tell with Harold.
