For the second meeting in September, there was a poor attendance, but nevertheless the meeting went on apace with the president in the chair. Anniversary boys for the day were Geoff White and Bertie Brace, who were accorded all best wishes for a happy birthday and a healthy year to come. The October Ladies Day, Wednesday, October 31, will see the club taking a coach trip to the Begelly Arms for lunch. If you are interested, please contact the secretary as soon as possible. Speaker for the morning was Lew Day, who gave a précis of a book by Brandon Bays entitled 'The Journey'. In 1992, she was diagnosed with a football-sized tumour and found herself catapulted into a remarkable, soul-searching and ultimately healing journey. Only six and a half weeks later, she was pronounced text-book perfect - no drugs, no surgery, no tumour. Brandon Bays has transformed many lives with her teaching of self-healing processes. This book is a most interesting read. The next meeting on October 3 is short of a speaker, so the secretary will attempt a musical interlude of interest. If you would like more information about the club's activities ring Lew Day on 844633.
