Results North/South: 1. Carmel Wiseman and Graham Hadlow 55.56 per cent; equal 2. Irene Delahunty and Cindy Middleton with Margaret Day and Mairi Rees 53.13. East/West: 1. Jill and John O'Sullivan 64.12; 2. Liz Crockford and Kevin Thomas 55.56; 3. Colin Nash and Peter Milewski 55.09.
Jill O'Sullivan took great delight in welcoming several visitors to our club. First must come Sheridan and Bernard Bradley, ex-members of our club, all the way from South Africa - lots of hugs and kisses for our long distance friends; Valerie and Doug Burcham, finishing their fortnight sojourn in the area before returning to The Midlands, and finally, our near neighbours from Haverfordwest, Beryl Warner and Gloria Walters, Angela John and Chris Overton.
A six table Howell was in play on Friday, May 15. Results were: 1. Kevin Thomas and Doug Silcox 61.46; 2. Sue Enfield and Judy Lewis 61.11; 3. Sue Batten and Maureen Poole 55.21; 4. Margaret Davies and Irene Delahunty 54.17.
Gladys Irvine is off to visit her children in the USA. She is staying quite a while so she might pick up the North American twang. We all hope that she 'has a good day'.
