Wednesday, November 5, saw the first round of three of the internal mixed pairs tournament, the best two results to count. A 10-table Mitchell was in play. No fireworks at the bridge tables, but a very interesting evening.

Friday, November 7, saw a well-attended evening of duplicate bridge. Nice to see Edna Lawrence and Marion Jenkins gracing the tables again. There were some tricky hands to solve, and these pairings were the best: 1. Jill and John O'Sullivan 68.06; 2. Trevena and Newman Vincent 59.38; 3. Maureen Poole and Sue Batten 55.21; 4. Mike Taylor and Margaret Davies 53.65.
