Last week's meeting of the camera club was the print/projected image of the year competition, with judge Brian Sewell ARPS, AWPF.

The images were all winners of previous competitions during the year, and were gathered together to find the best overall winners from both the print section and the projected image section of the competitions.

The judge said that he really enjoyed coming to Tenby Camera Club, as the standard was so high, and he had particularly enjoyed looking at the images submitted.

He gave a very good critique of each image, and reviewed the prints to begin with. He didn't award any points, just adjudged the top places.

In the print section, he awarded the following places: equal 3. 'That Holiday Feeling' and 'Street Life' both by Jill Baxter, and 'Wheatear: Thrifty Bird' by Paul Richards; 2. 'Arctic Tern in Flight' by Jill Baxter; 1. 'Kingfisher' by Paul Richards.

After a break for refreshments, the judge viewed the projected images. Again, he was very impressed with the standard of the images.

After appraising all the images, he awarded the following places: 3. 'Smoking Candles' by Ray Hine; joint 2. 'Windy Day' by Jill Baxter, 'Kingfisher - Shrimp for Tea' by Jill Baxter; 1. 'Tern Aggression' by Jill Baxter.

The next meeting will be the first of the summer programme on May 14 and will be an evening of choosing images for the photo pool.
