Last week, at St. Florence Village Hall, Tenby and District Camera Club members were delighted to welcome Les Loosemore ARPS AWPF. Les, who has come to the club as a judge previously, came to show his own panels of prints, and to inspire members to enter for the AWPF* and ARPS** Distinction Panels. (*Associate of the Welsh Photographic Federation, **Associate of the Royal Photographic Society). Les delighted his audience with his various panels of prints on a wide range of subjects, from natural history, to landscapes, and on to sport. He amused his audience with tales of the marks he had received from eminent judges, centring around the figure of 14 in many cases. He showed what can be done with close-up photography and also examples of shots taken in dull, damp weather, with very successful results. He encouraged lots of audience participation, with questions, and invited the members to come to the front, so that they could examine the prints, print quality, and paper used. Everyone enjoyed the evening and felt encouraged to try out some of the techniques and subjects illustrated. Next week's meeting will be a talk entitled 'A Start to AV' with Roy Peters, which will help members with starting audio visual work. Everyone is welcome to the meetings whether beginner or professional photographer.

Prize-winners of the year at the annual dinner were (from left): Doug Williams (chairman), Andrew Baxter, Maureen Meads, Phillippe Kirchherr, Jill Baxter and Dave Marriott.
