This week's meeting at St. Florence Village Hall was the club's Christmas get-together. The evening kicked-off with Ron's Christmas quiz, compiled by Ron Powell. Ron had trawled the local area for landmarks, familiar and unfamiliar, photographed them, presented them in unusual guises, and club members and their guests had to identify them. Some were very difficult and looked unfamiliar. However, everyone had great fun as each table tried to work out the places they felt they should know. When the results were given, there were sighs and groans, when people realised how they had been fooled by Ron's clever camera work. After all that hard work, everyone was delighted to tuck into the delicious food which had been brought by members. The evening finished with the raffle and many people took home a prize. The next meeting will be after Christmas and New Year, on January 10, and will be the judging of the panels competition by Barrie Lewis. Anyone who is interested in photography, whether beginner or experienced, is welcome to join the group.
