Thursday's meeting took place at St. Florence Village Hall. This week's lecture was on 'The Basics of Digital', a talk by Steve Littlewood AWPF. An enthralled audience was held captive by the wonders that Steve performed with his digital equipment. Shooting his photographs in the RAW method, gives him more scope to make the adjustments he wants, using Photoshop on the computer. He had brought some of his large size prints with him, as examples of what can be achieved. He gave a practical demonstration of how he arrives at some of his results, and members were able to ask questions and discuss methods with him during the mid-evening break for refreshments. The next meeting on November 8 will be the results night for the natural history competition, with judging by Les Loosemore ARPS, AWPF. The club welcomes everyone to their meetings. Members enjoy talking about photographs in a relaxed atmosphere where beginners and experienced photographers alike can share a common interest.
