The first meeting of the second half of the winter season was well attended for a showing of slides and prints by Mr. Ray Hine. The subject of Ray's presentation was 'My Kind of Landscapes'. The well travelled Mr. Hine showed a wide range of landscapes from Europe to the Americas via Iceland and talked of the reasons why a particular scene or subject appealed to him. The members were well entertained and appreciative of his skills with the camera. The second meeting was to select slides for the forthcoming inter-club competitions, particularly the 'Ace of Clubs' and 'Three Way Slide Battle'. On January 19, the results of the second Open Competition for members will be judged by Mr. Dudley Davies and, as this attracted a good selection of slides and prints, this promises to be another cracking evening. Final entries for the second themed competition 'Sport' are to be entered by January 26. Also on the 26th will be a Digital Night: Images from the Welsh Photographic Federation's Salon of Photography. If you are a budding photographer or interested in photography in any form, no matter at what level, then why not spend an evening with the club at St. Issell's Church Hall, Saundersfoot. Meetings are every Thursday at 7.30 pm, with ample parking available, or contact the chairman, Mr. Doug Williams, on 01834 811190.
