Travelling East again with high expectations, the club were looking forward to retaining the Amman Valley Camera Shield. However, despite a good start with above average marks, they fell away in the mid section of this six-club photo print competition and were unable to make up ground in the latter stages. Llanelli swept ahead with some excellent prints which impressed the judge, Mr. Andrew Haig. Only four points separated the next four teams. The day trip to Cardiff was quite enjoyable, with some fine weather and tours of the Millennium Stadium, Millennium Centre and Cardiff Castle presenting some excellent photo opportunities, of which many took advantage. The new venue for future meetings is at St. Issell's Church Hall, Saundersfoot, and the next meeting is at 7.30 pm Thursday, July 7, when there will be an informal viewing of members' photographs of the Cardiff trip. Whether you are interested in film or digital photography, all are most welcome to the club's evenings and a very interesting winter programme has now been arranged, details of which will be available soon.
