Great to see so many club members at Skrinkle for the very well run charity bridge. Coral and Sid, who had a genuine reason for their late arrival, must surely be in line for a humane medal after their hairy experience, rescuing two young King Charles Spaniels from certain death, as they roamed together, in and out of the traffic, on the main road near Stepaside. The internal 'teams' tourney is progressing and pressure is mounting - who will win the silverware? Results next week. Friday, January 25: It was great to see Edna Lawrence gracing the bridge tables once again; she may have been in secret training? Results - 1. Edna Lawrence and Mairi Rees 63.19 per cent; 2. Pam Evans and Mike Taylor 59.03; 3. Margaret and Richard Caley 58.33; 4. Sid. Jones and Irene Warlow 56.25; 5. Jo Davies and Allan Taylor 53.47. Duplicate bridge is played twice weekly at the Kilgetty Community Centre, on Wednesday at 7 pm and Friday at 6.30 pm. New members and visitors are always welcome.
