A new season of the Arts Club begins on Friday, October 5, at 8 pm, in Church House, Upper Frog Street, with Keith Johnson, the well known journalist, writer and editor of Pembrokeshire Life, who will be giving a talk on Thomas Idris, the Ginger Beer man. The annual membership fee for the club is £7, with an entry fee of £1 for the Friday evening meetings. Non-members are welcome with £2 entry fee. For some programmes supported by the Arts Council of Wales admittance will be £5 (£4 concession). This year the Arts Club celebrates its 60th anniversary and several celebratory events are planned. On Sunday, October 21, Dr. John Harrison has organised an evening concert of music at St. Mary's Church, details of which will be published shortly. On Saturday, December 1, a dinner is arranged for members and friends at the Park Hotel, at which the guest speaker will be Aeronwy Thomas (Dylan Thomas's daughter).
