On July 31, Tenby Aces Cycling Club invited the Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, to draw the winning tickets of the raffle, the main prize being the Giant Bike which was won by Charlie Ratcliffe, of Tenby.

The main fund-raising event had been the 200-mile ride from Tenby to Cardiff and back on June 27, and on July 12, a group of Aces went down to the Square in Tenby with a few bikes on turbo trainers and raised nearly £800 in raffle ticket sales and generous donations.

In all, the Aces have collected over £6,000, which will be presented to the Help for Heroes charity later this year. A huge thanks goes to all who took part and also everyone who has so kindly bought raffle tickets and given money for the cause over the past few months.

The Aces are carrying on with their club rides while the evenings are still light, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from Tenby Leisure Centre, at 6.30 pm, and weekend rides usually on Saturday at 7.30 am and Sunday at 9 am.
