Temporary restrictions will be in place in a part of Pembroke for over a month from Monday, May 9, to enable Pembrokeshire County Council to carry out traffic calming and footway improvements.
The effect of the Road Traffic Order will be to temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic other than exempted vehicles from proceeding along that section of South Road from its junction with West Street west to a point at the access to no. 27 South Road.
The alternative route for traffic will be via St Daniels Hill (B4319), Common Road (A4139), Bridgend Terrace and Merchants Park.
It is intended that the restrictions will come into effect on Monday, May 9 and remain in force for approximately five weeks.
The Order will remain valid for a maximum period of 12 months as a contingency should the works need to be rescheduled or in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
